The midfielder begins the last phase of his recovery on the island
Íñigo Ruiz de Galarreta is back.
Our midfielder has returned to training at the Ciudad Deportiva Antonio Asensio and is already hard at work as he enters the final stages of his recovery following torn knee ligaments.
Ruiz de Galarreta underwent surgery in February after he picked up the injury against Real Betis last year and has been undergoing rehabilitation in Pamplona.
The 29-year-old has been following the advice of club doctors and physios in order to work towards an agreed training plan ahead of returning to full training with the squad.
"I am very happy to return to training in Mallorca, at the Ciudad Deportiva, and to see my teammates again,” he told club media. “Working here every day is a joy. I am very happy.”
"At the moment everything is going great, there is still an important stretch of the recovery, but the progression and spirits are very good. I was always thinking about my return to Mallorca and to be back in the day-to-day routine with my teammates.
"We have worked a lot and very hard during all these months. Every day I have been feeling better and the progression has always increased. I have to continue working hard in the final stretch that I have left. I am only thinking about continuing to work hard and recovering every time I feel closer to the goal of playing again.
"I see the dressing room is very enthusiastic. In the pre-season games, I have seen a very serious team, very strong at the back, something we are going to find is very important, as we saw last year. The group is very excited about facing another season in LaLiga and staying in it for a long time.”
