Martin Valjent and Lago Junior shared their thoughts on our 2-0 win over CD Tenerife with club media at the Visit Mallorca Estadi. Goals from the centre back and Dani Rodríguez either side of half-time secured an important win for Luis García Plaza's side, but find out what the pair had to say about taking all three points, hitting the target and the upcoming round of international fixtures.
On the game...
Martin Valjent: “We are very happy. We have had a good game. For the first 20 minutes, we played well, but after that they have been dangerous. We had to keep a clean sheet as that is very important in a league which is so long and tough. Now we have to think about CD Lugo.”
Lago Junior: “We have done a good job. We had to have a good game. The three points were very important to move up the table. I know that my team-mates will have a great game against CD Lugo on Monday.”
On his first goal for the club...
Martin Valjent: “I’m very happy for the goal. Some of my team-mates wanted to score than myself!”
On his first call-up to the Ivory Coast national side...
Lago Junior: “I have dreamed a lot about this moment. Being able to represent the Ivory Coast is something that I’ve had to work hard for, but it has come.”
