Goals from Cyle Larin and Valery Fernández saw us overcome Real Valladolid 2-1 and record our third consecutive win.
Jagoba Arrasate opted for Jose Copete in central defence next to Antonio Raíllo, while Leo Roman was named as goalkeeper for the evening.
The hosts almost had the lead after a slow start from both sides as Juanmi Latasa hit the post from close range in the 20th minute.
Samu Costa had our first real sight of goal when he lost his marker on the edge of the box and unleashed a fierce drive which was well saved by Karl Hein four minutes later.
Machis would have the first half’s final chance when he struck over the bar as we headed into the break level.
Kiki Perez threatened shortly after the restart when a low ball was fired across the box, although Roman was able to watch his shot drift wide of the mark.
Larin would haunt his former club on the hour-mark when he brought down Dani Rodríguez’s searching pass with a deft touch and volleyed home.
Copete almost doubled our lead in the 75th minute when a loose ball in the box from a corner found its way to him alone at the back post, but his header was blocked by Hein.
Valery scored his second goal in as many games in the 83rd minute when his high pressing saw a turnover in possession inside the box and our defender made no mistake with a composed finish.
Ivan Sanchez would score what would prove to be a consolation goal for the hosts deep into injury time with a curled effort from the edge of the box, although we held on to ensure all three points.
