As we head into the New Year, Ante Budimir believes 2019 has been 'unforgettable' both on and off the pitch.
Speaking exclusively to Play Red, the Croatian says he has more than one reason to remember a special 12 months.
“New Year’s Eve is going to be a big anniversary that I’m going to remember for all of my life,” he told Play Red. “My marriage, the promotion to La Liga - I’m sure I’m not going to forget 2019. It has gone by quickly, very quickly. It has been a year of success.”
The forward’s six goals in 20 games saw his loan spell made permanent in the summer, and Budimir says there was no other place he would rather be than at Son Moix after the six months he experienced.
“I’m very happy having signed a contract for four years,” he continued. “I want to wear this shirt of a long time. I’m very happy and thankful to everyone that has helped me.
"It was huge for me. I admire them for having made it possible to stay and continue here with Mallorca. It’s a great place to live and a very good club to be with.”
