ANTE BUDIMIR, MARTIN VALJENT AND ALEKSANDAR TRAJKOVSKI RECEIVE INTERNATIONAL CALL-UPS
The trio have been called up by Slovakia and North Macedonia respectively to feature in the UEFA Nations League
Ante Budimir, Martin Valjent and Aleksandar Trajkovski have been selected in their respective Slovakia and North Macedonia squads for the upcoming start of the UEFA Nations League.
Ante Budimir: The 29-year-old has been rewarded for his fine season last year with a first-ever call-up to the Croatia national side. The striker will be a part of the squad that travels to Portugal to face the reigning European Championship champions at the Estádio do Dragão, before then heading to France to take on 2018’s World Cup winners at the Stade de France. The striker will be hoping to recapture the form that saw him score 13 goals in La Liga last terma head of League A Group B fixtures.
Martin Valjent: Our centre back is set to feature for Slovakia in their opening two games of the UEFA Nations League following an impressive season in La Liga last term. The Repre will first host the Czech Republic on the 4th of September at the Národný Futbalový Stadión, before later travelling to the Netanya Municipal Stadium to face Israel three days later. Valjent will be hoping to build on his three caps for Slovakia having made his international debut during a friendly fixture against Morocco in 2018.
Aleksandar Trajkovski: The most experienced international among the RCD Mallorca squad with 54 caps to his name, our winger has been called up by North Macedonia ahead of the UEFA Nations League curtain raiser. Igor Angelovski’s side will first host Armenia on the 5th of September at the National Arena Todor Proeski, before heading to Tbilisi to face Georgia at the Boris Paichadze Erovnuli Stadioni three days later.
