The club has confirmed the latest internal structure at our Fútbol Base academy ahead of the 2020/21 season.
Sergio Vallecillo will remain as Head of Youth Development having overseen the promotion of youth players Luka Romero, Fran González and Jesús Ruiz to the senior side.
Joan Alcaraz has been named the new Director of Methodology having most recently formed a part of the first-team’s coaching staff at Ecuadorian side Club Guayaquil City and contributed previously to the development of youth footballers at Villarreal CD between 2015 and 2020.
Miquel Toni Gelabert’s promotion from Infantil A management will see him undertake a new role as Fútbol Base Co-Ordinator, while Nico García is now responsible for the running of Fútbol 8 having previously been in charge of the Alevín youth category. Elsewhere, Carlos Paniza has been appointed Fútbol Base's new Head of Recruitment.
We’re also proud to announce the renewal of RCD Mallorca B manager Julián Robles’ contract, in addition to his coaching team Alejandro Torres, Enric Borrás and Carlos Contreras. The Tercera División side are currently preparing for a play-off semi-final against CD Ibiza with a potential place in Segunda B at stake on July 19th at a neutral ground yet to be announced.
