Javier Aguirre: “I hope we confirm the good feelings we have shown”
The boss looked ahead to our game against Getafe
Javier Aguirre says his side cannot wait to get back to action ahead of our clash with Getafe.
LaLiga football gets back underway following a break in the calendar for the World Cup and our boss wants his side to be at their best following intense mid-season preparations.
"I expect Getafe to be fully committed to getting the points,” Aguirre told journalists in his press conference. “They are a tough team, a strong team and a team that is difficult to hurt. We saw that last year, it was a hard-fought match.”
"We are two teams that play with a backline of five, so there will be little space. We are two teams that are used to playing one-on-one and to being tight.
"The feelings I have are good. There is a normal uncertainty in terms of performance because we have certainly taken this break with a few days off, then friendly matches, the Copa del Rey...but there is no real parameter to know where we are. The feeling is good, but we will see tomorrow if this feeling is due to the good work of the team.
"Hopefully in Getafe we will confirm that feeling that I have and that the team has that we came back well.”
