Ludwig Augustinsson: “We are confident we can beat Sevilla”
The defender previewed our trip to the Sánchez Pizjuán
Ludwig Augustinsson says he is loving life on the island following his January loan move from Sevilla as we prepare to face his parent club this weekend.
The left back has been getting to know his new team-mates since his move to RCD Mallorca and believes we can build on our win against Real Madrid ahead of our away trip to the Andalusia.
"I feel very good,” he told club media. “I feel at home. Everyone has welcomed me very well at the club and so have my teammates. It's a very good group. It's been easy to adapt to the club and the city."
“It was a great experience. I want to say that beating Real Madrid is something special and it was a very good performance by the team. Also from the fans, from everybody. It was very impressive. So I hope we can continue now. We have a difficult game against Sevilla.
"I know it's not easy to play against Sevilla. I know what that stadium is like. Incredible fans, good atmosphere and it's a stadium where I think a lot of people enjoy playing - I did too. We have to play as well as we did against Madrid to win that game. It's a big challenge, but I'm really looking forward to it and giving everything I have and the team as well to win the game."
We want to go there to win. Against Real Madrid we showed that we can win against any team. We are confident for this game and for the next ones. But it is also important to remain humble, because there are many ups and downs in football. But we want to get there and continue the good momentum the team is having and win this game, of course."
