Find out what Mateu Jaume, Dominik Greif, Jan Salas and Jagoba Arrasate had to say after our defeat to Atletico Madrid in the capital:
Mateu Jaume:
On the game: The result is unfair, it is a match that was decided by small details. In the end we are in a bad dynamic. I think we have to look inward, work hard and the results will come.
On the second half: It's a very complicated field, a very difficult team to win and we didn't know how to take advantage of our opportunities.
On the end of the match: We know that when we are ourselves we can compete against anyone, I think the 2-0 is unfair and we deserved more. The team showed its face. When things don't work out we have to do more work than ever and the results will come.
On next home games: The fans can help us a lot to overcome this situation we are going through. In the end, we have not started 2025 as we wanted and I think that these next two matches at home will be very important and we need all the fans.
Dominik Greif:
On the game: Well, sad for yet another defeat. We have to keep going, we haven't had good results this month, although it's true that all our opponents have been difficult. Heads up and we have to keep fighting.
On the second half: It is natural that when the team is winning, they are a little bit further back and let us have a little bit more of the ball. It's a pity we couldn't get more, but I don't remember any clear-cut shots.
On the game: I think the shot was not good, just like the first goal. These are things we can't control and the truth is that I would like to be able to help the team more.
On upcoming home games: It's always better to play with our people. We need their energy and encouragement because the truth is that we are in a slightly more difficult moment. We have to work hard and believe in the things that the coach tells us and that we work on every day.
Jagoba Arrasate:
On the match: I think there was a big difference between the two halves. In the first half we started well, but little by little Atlético imposed themselves. It's very annoying to lose the ball and to concede a goal in a transition. Then in the second half we were more recognizable and we came close to equalizing, we put fear into their bodies and again the shame of that goal in stoppage time that spoiled the result and the match a little.
On what he asked the team: To take a step forward, for the inside players to intervene more, for the lanes to play more in the opponent's field. That made us be closer to the box and that led to our best chances.
On a question of details: We have to insist even though we are in a bad dynamic of results, but I think there is still a lot to do. We now have two vital home matches with our people.
On Jan Salas: Very happy for him, we knew he could help us, I don't think we noticed it was his debut, he came out with a lot of spirit and contributed what we asked of him. I am happy for him and for the club.
Jan Salas:
On debut: It is a work of many years and today it becomes a reality. I am very happy and very grateful to the coach, the technical staff and my teammates. It's a pity about the result but I'm very happy.
On his minutes: I talked to the coach, he told me that there were possibilities but I doubted if it would happen. When they shouted at me I felt an immense joy.
On those around him: I remembered the people who have been by my side all my life and my family. These are the people who come to mind.
On the gift of a shirt: I have not given the T-shirt but now I will give it to my mother who deserves it. I have gone to greet my relatives and I am very happy for them, for me and for everyone.
On the match: For me it was a very even match. They found the goal but it was an open game until the end where there were chances for both teams. I think we had some chances to score a goal. We competed until the end, which is the important thing.
