The 46th edition of the Ciutat de Palma Trofeu was presented today ahead of our clash against Serie A side Bologna FC 1909.
Present at the event, which took place in the Town Hall Plenary Room, were the Business CEO of RCD Mallorca Alfonso Díaz; the mayor of Palma Jaime Martínez; the general director of Sports of Palma David Salom and midfielder Antonio Sánchez and head of sponsorships and external relations in the Balearic Islands of the Damm Group, Ferran Hidalgo.
The match will take place on August 10, at 8:30 p.m at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix.
Díaz said: "For us it is an honour to present the 46th edition of the Trofeu Ciutat de Palma at the city hall. These years the fans have not been able to enjoy our traditional football match continuously as a result of the pandemic and then due to the works on the stadium. But now we are back. A long-awaited return that continues an essential event, a classic of every summer that began in 1969. Bologna FC 1909 is a team that will deservedly compete in the Champions League. This is the ideal form: to show the first team off and for the fans to enjoy our football festival."
Antonio Sánchez said: "As a Palma native and a Mallorcan, I am very excited to play this match. It is the first time that I am going to play in the Ciutat de Palma and it is a nice culmination of the team's pre-season. The club is in a great moment and we must all enjoy it together. A match like this and against a great rival like Bologna is fantastic."
