Sergi Darder, Manu Morlanes, Takuma Asano and Jagoba Arrasate were on post-match media duties after our 1-1 draw with Alaves. See what our players and the boss had to say below:
Sergi Darder
On the result: This result leaves a bad, bittersweet taste. I think that after taking the lead we had a few chances to take a 2-0 lead. I think we gave them too much of the ball, and after the goal we dropped off too much. I think they did well too and the result is probably fair.
On fighinting for a second goal: Obviously, if you score the second goal you have a lot of numbers in your favour. This is a team that was low on confidence, if we had scored the second goal, we would have finished them off. We had it there, but we weren't able to score it. I think that, without having many clear chances, they were able to make the game uncomfortable for us and we have to recognise that we weren't at the same level as on other days. Even so, I think we had enough chances to win.
On the second half: In the second half we didn't go in with the ambition to go for the second, and even so we had chances. I think we played too much in our own half. It was a game where we knew it could happen, as I say we had chances, but I think we lacked a bit more in the second half.
On four points in four games: I've been self-critical because it was a game we had to win, but we also have to appreciate that we haven't lost. We're still drawing, we're still scoring points. The team is doing well and with desire, with ambition. Today's point doesn't leave us with that strength, but the team is fine and will continue to fight. Keep the good things and correct the bad things.
Manu Morlanes
On the match: I think the result is fair, there were two different halves. I think that in the first half we were superior to them, in the second half we were too far back. They gained confidence and created more than one chance for us. I think it's a fair draw.
On the performance in the second half: There are times when you don't know why it happened. There is a very high level and in the end Alavés, you could see that they were in need, we have all experienced situations like that. In the end they were able to use that need to take a step forward and create chances.
On the last few minutes: I think we fell a bit into playing the way they wanted to play, with a lot of direct play. When we were able to link a few passes together, that's when the chances came. In the end it's complicated, there's a lot of tension in there. I think it was a fair draw and now we will try to correct the mistakes during the week.
On the injury: Well, I'm trying to find my feet little by little. It's a long time out of action, no player likes to be out. The feelings are positive, the knee is responding well.
Takuma Asano:
On a first goal for RCD Mallorca: I'm very happy to have scored today for the team, I wasn't able to help before, but today I scored. We couldn't win, but getting a point is also important. I have to keep playing at 100 per cent in the next games.
On building confidence: They are always important for us, every game is important. We're going to keep giving our all, we couldn't win today, but we got a point. We don't have to feel bad, just learn from today's game to win and focus on the next one.
Jagoba Arrasate:
On the match: It leaves us a bit cold, when you start off winning and you see how close you are to a 2-0 lead, in the end a point seems too little. It's true that in the second half they took a step forward, it cost us more. After the equaliser, the game opened up and became dangerous. We got one more point, but it's certainly not what we wanted.
On clear chances: In the first half we were better, we could have scored more goals. Even in the second, without being so good, I think we had clear chances to make it 2-0. This is football, when you're only a goal up, the rival thinks they can win and they try to take the lead.
On the play that led to the goal: Pablo played long, we have to take advantage of those chances as well. We had already had some chances to score, but no goals. Luckily Taku also got his first start and it will give him confidence.
On Robert Navarro: It looked like cramp. Sometimes, when he plays in the first half, in the second half he usually asks for a change. He's a player who needs to mature a bit physically, he plays with a lot of intensity, he's very dynamic. I think it was more cramp.
