The Penya Mallorquinista ‘Centenari, Tota Una Vida!’ held its first anniversary dinner on the 109th anniversary of RCD Mallorca.
The event, which brought together around 100 supporters, was held at the Peña's headquarters, the Es Cruce Restaurant and was attended by representatives of the most important supporters‘ associations, such as the Unió de Penyes, the Moviment Mallorquinista, the Veterans’ Association and CEO Alfonso Díaz and Director of Football Pablo Ortells.
The event included a performance by a colla de Dimonis (a group of musicians from Mallorca) and a xeremies (a traditional music band).
The youngsters also enjoyed the event by sharing a moment with their idols, with the presence of Takuma Asano and Pablo Moya, RCD Mallorca B player, both of whom were in great demand for photos and autographs.
Distinguished guests
In addition, up to 14 Mallorcan legends were present, including Damià Amer, Rolando R. Barrera, Rafa Gallardo, Toni Prats, Chichi Soler, Paquete Higuera, Goran Milojević, Jovan Stanković, Miguel Ángel Matamoros, Toni Campoy, Juanjo Doblas, Juan Luis Riado, Quini Campos and Nacho G. Mallo, among others. Along with them, Monty Galmés, former president of the Club, the Vilafranquer-born Tomeu Penya, who was honoured by being named an Honorary Member of La Penya and receiving a tribute t-shirt, and the comedian Agustín ‘El Casta’.
Recognition of the legacy
The event culminated with the presentation of the Centenari d'Honor 2025, an annual recognition awarded to those individuals or entities that contribute to the dissemination and promotion of Mallorcanism. On this occasion, the award went to Chichi Soler, ex-player and current President of the Veterans Association, who received the distinction from Marcos Cabotà, who received the award in the previous edition. In addition, as a surprise, he was presented with a personalised cake to celebrate his 55th birthday.
The evening ended with the traditional raffle of gifts among the attendees, leaving an atmosphere of celebration and camaraderie representative of the Mallorcan spirit.
