Vedat Muriqi, Jaume Costa and Antonio Raíllo were on post-match media duties after we fell to a 2-1 defeat at RCD Espanyol. Martin Braithwaite’s goals either side of half-time cancelled out Muriqi’s fine equaliser in the first half. Find out what the trio had to say below:
Vedat Muriqi
"We started the game very well. We missed a pass and it can happen because that’s football, and then we tied 1-1.
“We went into the dressing room wanting more. We started the second half poorly and lost 2-1. Now we have two games in a row in Mallorca and hopefully we can get as many points as possible for us.
"If my team loses, I don't care if I score a goal or not. I prefer not to score and for my team to win. Happy for the goal, but in the end nothing. I want our fans to support us to the full for these two home games and hopefully we get the next six points."
Jaume Costa
"We lacked at the first goal which was an avoidable mistake, but it can happen. Today it was a teammate and tomorrow it could be me. We also missed the first ten minutes of the second half because we came out very soft.
“We went out to do the opposite of what we had done in the first half. We were caught off guard and they scored the second. From then on, they played their own game and made us unhinged. We have to row and keep going. We have to win at home.
"We took a step forward today away from home and competed very well. It was one of the best halves I can remember since I've been at Mallorca".
Antonio Raíllo
"I think the game the team played was not bad, it was quite good. In the end, we fed them both the first goal and the second one. They are losses at the start of the ball. The team was good and played better than in many away games. We have a dynamic in which everything that comes in penalizes us and we have to change it.
"In the end, each team does its job. Everyone fights for their own. It's the referee's decision to give more continuity or less.
"We have to keep working the same way and correcting mistakes. We have to regain our defensive strength and from there we have to grow again.”
