The left back evaluated our performance as we reach the halfway point of the season
Brian Oliván spoke to the media in a post-match interview as we reached the halfway point of the season with a 1-0 defeat to UD Las Palmas at the Visit Mallorca Estadi. Find out what the defender had to say about the performance and the campaign so far below:
On reaching the halfway point of the season...
“We’ve had a good first half to the season. We were motivated to undo the defeat against CF Fuenlabrada and we’ve had to work a bit to get into the game. In the second half we kept them out. We were trying everything, but there are times where things go your way and times when they don’t.
“We know that the Segunda División is very difficult. The team believes in the objective and we’re giving it everything until the final whistle. We have a lot of ambition and that’s the important thing."
On the game...
“We weren’t able to be more forceful. Las Palmas is a team that manages the ball very well and played out from the back.
On the break in the fixuture calendar...
"We now have a week to reset and charge our batteries. Now until February we have some very difficult games coming up. If we finish February with good points, we will have plenty to go with. It would help the team regain its confidence. We haven’t lost it, but we want more.”
