David Lopez scored the only goal of the game as we beat West Brom 1-0 to end our pre-season trip to England with three wins from as many games.
Jagoba Arrasate opted for Leo Román in goal; Mateu Morey, Martin Valjent, Antonio Raíllo and Siebe Van der Heyden at the back; Samu Costa, Manu Morlanes and Sergi Darder in midfield, and Dani Rodríguez, Takuma Asano and Marc Domènech leading the line.
West Brom were the better side during the opening exchanges and controlled possession as we looked dangerous on the counter attack despite being limited to half chances.
We soon settled into our game but were unable to test the opposition goalkeeper as both sides headed into the break unable to get sight of goal.
Arrasate made a number of changes at the break as Antonio Sánchez, Dominik Greif, Jan Salas y Daniel Luna were introduced.
We took the lead on the hour mark as David Lopez reacted first to Antontio Sanchez’s freekick which had rebounded off the bar and fired home from close range.
West Brom put the pressure on to find a late equaliser, but we held firm to ensure we headed back to Palma with a 100% winning record in England.
