The midfielder reached the appearance record against RCD Espanyol
Dani Rodríguez says he is “incredibly proud” to reach the 150-game milestone as a RCD Mallorca player.
The midfielder has featured 65 times in LaLiga, made 75 appearences in Segunda Division, played six games in the Copa del Rey and participated in four promotion play-off fixtures.
"I’m incredibly proud,” he told club media. “Not only for the number of games, but to be here [still]. For me, it’s a dream come true to be at a club like RCD Mallorca and I am enjoying it very much. I hope that the number of games continues to grow.
"Both the promotions and the seasons in LaLiga for me are something incredible. It's great to experience something like that at a club as big as this one.”
As we prepare for the final season run in and a fight for survival, Dani Rodríguez says he is feeling confident following the appointment of new manager Javier Aguirre.
“We have something beautiful ahead of us and we can experience something incredible together,” he added. “The first step is the match against Getafe CF. It's the first time all season that we've been in the relegation zone. We brought it on ourselves and we are the only ones who can get out of it. Now comes a complicated match and a difficult opponent.
"That is football. You have to adapt quickly to the change of coach. Javier Aguirre comes with a lot of energy and he is passing that energy on to us so that we have it on the pitch.”
