The moustache is in fashion: Abdón Prats extends his contract
Our striker has agreed to a new deal which will run to 2026
We are delighted to announce that Abdón Prats has renewed his contract for two more seasons until June 2026.
Between his two spells at the club having grown up on the island, the 'dimoni d'Artà' has scored 48 goals in 213 official appearances in red and black.
Since our season in Segunda B, in which he was the team's top scorer, Abdón has achieved three promotions with RCD Mallorca and played a key role in our first ascension to LaLiga when he scored the winning goal in the play-off final against Deportivo de la Coruña.
This season he has already scored four goals in LaLiga and three more in the Copa del Rey.
Abdón Prats’ comments:
"It's a special moment because our journey is getting longer. I've always said that my dream and my wish is to finish my career at Mallorca.
"Here I have become a man, a mature footballer. The relationship with Kohlberg and Ortells is very good and everything has gone smoothly.
"I still haven't done everything with Mallorca. I lacked the continuity that I'm having this season and the regularity in terms of goals in LaLiga to make my history with Mallorca even greater.
"I want to keep scoring and being happy on the pitch. I want the goals to help us get points and consolidate our position.
"I am in my best moment, but there is still room for improvement. I can give more joy and we have Abdón for a long time.
"I would love to win a title with Mallorca, why not dream? Hopefully we can go far in the Copa del Rey which is always special for the fans.
"I feel the love of the fans every day. It's one of the reasons why I'm still at Mallorca today. They have helped me in difficult moments and I am very grateful.”
