We record an important win in our fight for survival
Pablo Gálvez’s brace ensured we secured an important 2-1 win against local rivals SD Formentera in our fight for survival at the Ciudad Deportiva Antonio Asensio.
We could not have wished for a worse start as David Lopez was ruled to have handled in the box in the seventh minute before Julen Ekiza made no mistake from the penalty spot.
There were few chances in the first half as we struggled to find a way back into the game.
Julian Robles made various changes after the restart and our new system got its reward when Pablo Galvez fired home from the penalty spot after Garay had been fouled in the 65th minute.
We turned the game on its head 10 minutes when some fine play by Montalbán teed up Galvez to fire home his second and put us in front for the first time.
We held firm despite a wave of attacks from SD Formentera to ensure our fight for survival remained alive.
