RCD Mallorca and the Fundació Reial Mallorca are working together to collate resources to help the areas most affected by the disaster caused by the DANA this week in Valencia.
A collection point at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix will be organised for donations to be made. The collection will take place next Tuesday, November 5, from 8 am to 8 pm in the parking lot of the gate 9 of the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix (c/ Camí dels Reis). All donated material will be sent to the collection center organized by Valencia CF.
The club and collaborating entities such as Obramat and Melchor Mascaró have been activated with the aim of helping in the clean-up efforts. Other entities that will participate are AirEuropa, Ajuntament de Palma, Transmed, Foro Baleares, Z Haires, Societat Civil Balear, MVP Fanatics Mayvan, Dyreco and Operador Logística Interislas.
In addition, next Sunday at the match against Atlético de Madrid at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix, there will also be a collection of which more information will be given in the coming days.
Emergency Necessary Material
Only the following items, which are critical to the cleanup work, will be accepted:
- Tools and Equipment: rakes, square shovels, site brooms, buckets, wheelbarrows, saw blades, site trowels, hoes, ropes and various hand tools.
- Protective Material: Waterproof boots, gloves of all types, safety goggles, masks, coveralls, raincoats.
- Cleaning Material: Large garbage bags (100 liters), mops, floor scrapers, glass cleaners with stick.
- Larger Equipment: Compressors, water pumps, hoses, gasoline generators.
- Other Essential Items: Flashlights, batteries, headlamps, maintenance clothing, blankets.
Please note that only items specified on the list will be accepted to ensure that the most needed supplies reach those in need.
Food Collection
RCD Mallorca would like to thank the initiative of Moviment Mallorquinista, who from Monday will be collecting food and other products in the Cafeteria of the Poliesportiu de Son Moix. It will run until Wednesday, between 9 am and 6 pm.
The food and material collection initiatives could be extended depending on the material received.
Unió de Penyes Mallorquinistas and Veteranos will help in the collection of material in Part Forana and will bring it to Estadi Mallorca Son Moix
LaLiga has also launched an economic aid campaign through the Red Cross which can be donated on Bizum 02910.
