We frustratingly fell to a 3-2 defeat against Granada CF as goals from Abdón Prats and Samu Costa fell short of Miguel Rubio, Bryan Zaragoza and Unzuni strikes.
Abdon Prats made his first start of the season by partnering Vedat Muriqi up front, while Sergi Darder made his first start in midfield.
We almost got off to a dream start right from kick-off as a quick midfield exchange saw Dani Rodríguez race in behind and drag his shot just wide of the far post.
Miguel Rubio gave the hosts the lead in the 12th minute when he climbed highest to head home.
We were an inch away from drawing level in the 18th minute when Melendo tripped Lato in the box, although Muriqi hit the post from the spot.
We were level in the 38th minute when Abdon reacted first to a pull back and struck a shot with enough power to just creep into the net after Raúl Fernández had made an initial save as we headed into the break with the score line at 1-1.
The hosts took the lead two minutes after the restart when Zaragoza’s deflected strike from distance found the back of the net.
Granada put further distance to the scoreline when Unzuni found the back of the net from the penalty spot in the 70th minute after substitute Cyle Larin handled in the box.
Costa pulled a goal back with two minutes left on the clock, but it was too little too late as we headed back to the island empty handed.
