Jaime de Las Marinas says RCD Mallorca B are going to give their all ahead of a final push for promotion.
With the club on a a record unbeaten run of 26 games – form which stands at 22 wins and four draws – the midfielder believes our youth side must not let their standards slip as the season reaches its climax.
"Things are going very well, but the hardest part is yet to come,” Jaime de Las Marinas told club media. “We have to continue our work to achieve our objective."
"There were many players that didn't even know about it [the record run] - we hardly even commented on it. The mentality is that we haven't done anything yet. The record is very good, but what we want is promotion and until we get it, the record is useless.
"The atmosphere is very positive, but it's a hard working one - we want more. Whoever plays is going in at a very high level and this is what is reflected in the day to day. There is no time to relax and the team is very motivated. Our position in the league gives us peace of mind, but we haven't achieved anything yet. We are very ambitious.”
Jaime de Las Marinas has also made the step up to senior training this year and has benefitted from the methods of Luis García Plaza and reserve manager Julián Robles – the latter of which our midfielder believes has been the mastermind behind our promotion push.
"He deserves it more than anyone,” Jaime continued. “He has continued to believe in his work and has kept trying. It was complicated last season, but he continues with the same enthusiasm as always. Julian and the entire coaching staff do a great job and they like to have everything just right - Julián makes you a better player.
"A great job is being done in the youth team. Some have had the opportunity to debut with the first team, whlie I have gone to train with them and it is great to see that Luis García Plaza looks at the reserve team.”
