Javier Aguirre: “Three finals remain and we have to win them”
The boss gave his thoughts and of our trip to Seville tomorrow evening
Javier Aguirre says we must treat our remaining games of the season like “finals” ahead of our trip to Sevilla on Wednesday evening.
With three games remaining in our fight for survival, the boss believes nothing but points will do after our defeat to Granada CF on the weekend – starting with our visit to the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.
"There are three finals left and we have to win them,” he told journalists at his pre-match press conference. "We have recovered from the match against Granada CF. It helps a lot that there is a match so soon.
“What the players want is to make amends, to get revenge and they want to get back on the pitch."
Wednesday evening’s hosts are reaching the climax of their battle for a place in Europe, and the boss shared his thoughts as to where Sevilla’s strengths lie.
"We are expecting the best Sevilla FC, because they are coming from two draws which have compromised their qualification for the Champions League,” he continued. “Sevilla FC, at home, are going to go all out. I expect an intense, strong Sevilla, tough in recovering the ball, and control of the ball also."
