Juan Rodríguez: “This roster offers a lot of possibilities"
The center midfielder and two-goal scorer confirmed that the team will return with a "good flavor in the mouth"
Two goal scorer Juan Rodriguez, spoke with the press after his game against De Graafschap and spoke about the dynamic team effort, “we continue to log minutes together in an effort to start the season in the best form possible.” The Malaga local recalled that even though the team did not have the best results from the Dutch tour, “we handled these games well, as if they were training. The opponents were fresher than we were, but we will still go to Palma with a good taste in our mouth.”
The center midfielder, who played on the wing in the friendly against De Graafschap, mentioned that in reference to his goals, “I was playing in a different position that allowed me to come into the box more often. I was lucky to score the two, but I don´t believe that I was any sort of savior.”
And about Coach Vázquez´ tactics, with four center midfielders and no true strikers, the Malagan said that “we have a roster that can offer a variety of looks, so it is the coach who decides who and how to use us. The important thing is that we improved.”
When asked about the group’s mood, Rodriguez said that the team is in better form, “it is normal, we have trained a lot, and we have all gotten to know each other more. The idea is to come into the first game in form and in good understanding,” he concluded.
