Luis García Plaza: ‘Seven finals await us and I see the team is switched on’
The boss spoke to the media ahead of our clash with CE Sabadell
Luis García Plaza says he has been impressed with his side in the build-up to our trip to CE Sabadell on Monday evening.
Heading into Matchday 36 in one of the two available automatic promotion spots, the boss believes a strong performance will be necessary against Las Arlequinats.
"The team has recovered and is looking forward to it. CE Sabadell will make us work defensively, but we will have space up top,” he told journalists via a remote press conference. “They know how to play the ball well, have good players and we will have to be solid in defence. We have seven finals left and I see the team ready for what's to come.
“In the end, coaches have to be guided by feelings. The team is doing well. Sometimes we make drama and that is football. The players leave their souls every day and have earned the respect of Mallorquinistas. The Segunda División costs a lot and the players deserve everyone's support.”
Lago Junior and Antonio Sánchez are back in the squad having been in isolation following positive COVID-19 tests.
"We have recovered Lago and Antonio, but for them to play is complicated. From now on all the called-up players will come because we are at a time when we need everyone encouraging, supporting the team and pulling together for the final stretch.”
