Luis García Plaza: ‘The world needs to forget about the league table’
The boss spoke to the media ahead of our clash with Las Palmas
Luis García Plaza says his side must take things game by game ahead of our clash with UD Las Palmas on Sunday evening.
As we enter the business end of the season with 10 games left to play, the boss believes maintaining steady could hold the key to handling the pressure – starting with a trip to the Estadio de Gran Canaria.
"I've told the players again that they have to forget about the standings. We are going to try to play a good game and win. We are facing a team that is in an incredible moment. Whatever the result, we'll have to keep picking up points. Las Palmas is a very lively team and they showed it against Lugo. We already suffered them in the first round - in that first half they clearly outplayed us.”
"It's going to be very tough. All the teams are playing for their lives in every game. It's going to be harder and harder to win a game. The most important thing is the team and I need all the players to give everything for the team. That's what can give us promotion.”
