Luis García Plaza: ‘We’re going to see a dangerous UD Logroñés’
The boss spoke to media in his pre-match press conference ahead of our trip to Logroñés
Luis García Plaza has issued a rallying cry ahead of our trip to UD Logroñés on Saturday evening.
While Matchday 27’s hosts have yet to win in their previous five fixtures, the boss believes his side will need to be switched on against a tough opponent.
"We have to be ambitious, want to win and go for the game,” he told journalists at his pre-match press conference. “If we can't win, it won't be because we are contemplative.
"I think we will see a much more dangerous UD Logroñés than in the first game. UD Logroñés knew it was a season in which they were going to suffer. They do things quite well and we respect them a lot. Logroñés is a team that works a lot in attacking areas and puts in very dangerous crosses from the flank. I don't think they will change their style against us.”
Having named an unchanged starting XI for the first time this season in a 2-0 win against UD Almería, García says he has been impressed with his squad depth so far this campaign.
"Everyone is ready and willing to play,” he continued. “We need the players who come on, even if it's only for twenty minutes, to give us their maximum. The example is Baba the other day: he came on and ate up Almeria.”
