Luka Romero and Abdón Prats analyse the win over UD Logroñés
The teenager reflected on becoming our youngest-ever goalscorer while Abdón Prats discussed his first strike in over a year
Luka Romero and Abdón Prats couldn’t hide their delight as they both found the back of the net during our 4-0 win over UD Logroñés. The former became our youngest-ever scorer at 16 years and 11 days of age, while the experienced striker ended his year-long wait for a goal. Find out what the pair had to say about their strikes, the performance and an important three points.
On the game...
Abdon Prats: "We want to be among the best and today we are the best. What UD Logroñés had done up until now, nobody had done. We have been lucky, but that’s because we have pushed from the beginning and now we have to keep on pushing. Now it's time for Almería and we have to continue.”
Luka Romero: “The staff and the coach help me a lot and give me a lot of advice. All the players were very happy for my goal. The team is very good and we are very comfortable on the pitch. We must continue.”
On the goals...
Abdón Prats: "It's been a long time since I've scored. I really wanted to score this goal. I am very happy. I am coming from a very difficult year, after the promotion goal against RCD Deportivo I did not score another goal. After a tough time and a lot of work the goal came today. That goal is dedicated to my partner and my family.”
Luka Romero: “The truth is that I scored the goal and started crying. I remembered my father, my mother and all the people who support me. I couldn’t believe it. I thought it was a dream. That goal is for Maradona and my grandmother watching from above.”
