The Mallorca B squad played its second game of the preseason against CE Felantix at the cosy ground in Es Torrentó. The friendly ended without a goal, but the Mallorcan reserves were still able to spend valuable time together and continue preparing for Segunda B season.
The opponent showed well in defense and created a few clear chances on goal. Even so, the Mallorcans did have a few chances in the first and second halves, but nothing nearly as effective as the first game (7-1 in Mallorca´s favor. Felantix did come close to scoring in the second half, but the attempts were thwarted, first by Parera and then by Benji. The newly constructed Mallorca defense held strong, and through two games, the team has only surrendered one goal, from a penalty.
Conscious of the double sessions these weeks, coupled with the weight of preparing for the preseason, the players are still getting used to the feeling of the grass and the feeling of competing. The next game of the #mallorcaBtour will be this Saturday at the Rotlet Molinar field.
The second stop of this island tour brought many fans from the Felantix area, who wanted to take in the opportunity to see the largest Segunda B team play in the #mallorcaBtour.
