Marc Pedraza and Ante Budimir analyse the victory over RCD Espanyol
The midfielder and striker reflected upon the 2-0 win at their post-match press conference
La Liga debutant Marc Pedraza and goalscorer Ante Budimir spoke the the assembled press at Son Moix following RCD Mallorca’s 2-0 win against RCD Espanyol. Recording a first win since the opening day of the season, the pair had this to say about the importance of the three points:
“I've always wanted to debut in La Liga. I’’m happy but above all the victory was the most important thing. I’m very happy for the team, having kept a clean sheet and returning to winning ways in front of the fans that have supported us. The win gives us a bit of calm ahead of the break and the next game. We deserved to finish well before the break.”
Ante Budiimr
“It was important to add three points in order to be able to have confidence in the work we’re doing. For me, goals are always great but I’m very happy that the goal brought three points because at the end it’s about the league table and adding points. For the goal, Sastre centred the ball with pace at the height of my abdominals. I shot with the body and it went it in perfectly.”
