Two goals in the final five minutes saw us draw 1-1 with Girona FC at the Visit Mallorca Estadi.
Having registered our first win of the season against Rayo Vallecano the week prior, Javier Aguirre named a largely unnamed side as Antonio Sánchez replacing Clement Grenier was the only change to the starting XI.
Chances were few and far between during the opening exchanges as we struggled to turn our possession into opportunities in the final third.
We were awarded a penalty in the 38th minute when Juan Carlos was adjudged to have fouled Rodrigo Battaglia, although a quick VAR review ruled out the spot kick.
With a potential penalty the only real talking point of the first half, we headed into the break level.
The restart picked up from where the first 45 minutes had left of as neither side were able to create anything more than half chances.
We thought we had found a late winner when Antonio Raíllo managed to bring down a loose ball at a corner and find the bottom corner.
Our joy was short lived as just minutes later Manu was tripped by Juan Copete as the forward looked certain to latch onto Samu Sainz pull back across the box and a penalty was awarded.
Samu Sainz made no mistake from the spot as we had to settle for sharing the points as our search for our first home win of the season continues.
