Our academy side is now top of the Tercera División thanks to Pablo Gálvez’s brace
Pablo Gálvez’s goals either side of half-time saw us overcome PE Sant Jordi 2-1 to go top of the Tercera División.
We couldn’t have wished for a better start as Miky Femenías produced a fine piece of individual skill to tee up Gálvez from a distance where he could make no mistake in the second minute.
Our early lead was cancelled out 13 minutes later as Daisuke levelled matters with the visitors’ first sight at goal against the run of play.
We were in control for the remainder of the first half and were unlucky not to go into the break with the lead as Gálvez had a goal ruled out for offside and came close by rattling the woodwork.
We had to wait until the 74th minute before a sight at goal in the second half, but our patience was rewarded when Gálvez scored his fifth goal of the season with a well-taken finish.
We were in the ascendancy having restored our lead and managed to see out the win with a controlled, dominating performance for the remaining 15 minutes to go top of the league.
