Match Report: SD Formentera 1-1 RCD Mallorca B

Josep Gaya’s 73^rd minute equaliser saw RCD Mallorca B snatch a late point in a tightly-contested 1-1 draw at SD Formentera. 

We were punished for a slow start as Ricard Fernandez gave the hosts the lead in the fourth minute with a powerful header. We would ultimately head into the break a goal behind, although Luka Romero came close to haunting his former club in the 24^th minute when he managed to find space to get a shot away at goal.

Throwing everything we had at a resolute SD Formentera defence upon the restart, we would get our reward in the 73^rd minute courtesy of Josep Gaya’s first goal of the season. Both sides came close to taking all three points, although matters would remain deadlocked come the final whistle.
