Real Mallorca have inaugurated in Barcelona a new supporters’ club. More than 70 people showed up at the Old Estrella Damm Beer Factory in a space provided gently by the Club sponsor.
The chairman of the renewed University Supporters’ Club, Miquel Ripoll, has thanked the RCD Mallorca expedition formed by RCDM Chairman Monti Galmes, RCDM CEO Maheta Molango, first team players Pol Roige and Eduard Campabadal and legend Alfonso Perez. The band Oso Leone have played at the event. Jaume Colombas has said a few words to kick off the celebration. The Club is over the moon with the creation of this supporters’ club as whenever the team will travel to Catalonia will receive the warmth from their fans in this region.
Back in the 1973/74 season it was Jordi Dosta and Joan Fuster who founded this supporters’ club. After a few years, this club was merged with another club known as Es Xubasquero created by the siblings Toni and Llorenç Gomila. From then on, these Mallorca fans have met to follow together RCDM games and that way has allowed them to feel closer to the island.
From today on, the mythical supporters’ club is inserted into this new University Supporters’ Club and the act has been officiliazed by the signature of its constitutional act.
At the act, RCDM Supporters’ Clubs’ Federation Chairman Toni Colom has also made a speech. Alongside all these authorities, Girona FC supporters’ club federation members have come to the event as a mark of the good rapport between both entities, who have exchanged presents.
Real Mallorca are very proud to introduce this supporters’ club and have vowed to come back to the Olympic City to celebrate their first anniversary next year. They hope that many successed can be celebrated together. The link between Catalonia and the island is a fact and it is an immense honour to know for a fact that more and more support is drummed up in this territory. Today has been a day of celebrations.
