Olaizola: "We got youth and enthusiasm to our advantage"
Real Mallorca B head coach, Javier Olaizola has pondered the team situation hours prior to meeting Lleida Esportiu. This evening, our academy team at 20:00 in Son Bibiloni plays for the second time in 4 days. After a goalless draw in Badalona, our manager reckons “the last game was very complicated due to bad state of the pitch and the difficult rival but we did get a good score on that front. The team fared well and getting a point away from home it’s always important”.
With respect to tonight’s game, Olaizola sees Lleida as a “powerful opponent, who land here after a win. They like to play beautiful football and their squad is wide and competent. Yet we have got our confidence back after the Eldense dismal display”.
Three games in just seven games give way to rotations and the Basque has confirmed the “line-up will dependo on how fit are the usual starters who played in Badalona. I also count on players that don’t play that often yet train at a high level. I’m 100% sure the footballers that will feature will do so very well. Against rivals like Lleida we have the pros of youth and enthusiasm”.
Finally, the manager has said that Alex Serrano will not feature as he’s down with a sprained ankle. At the sidelines, he joins Sergio Cortes who is recovering from his operation.
