We head back to Palma with three consecutive wins from our pre-season training camp as Ángel Rodríguez’s 52nd minute strike was the difference in a 1-0 victory over SD Eibar.
The goalscorer, Maffeo and Jaume Costa were handed their first starts in red and black as Luis García Plaza continued to rotate his side in a bid to build match sharpness.
We were in control throughout the opening exchanges, although were forced to wait until the 29th minute before our first sight at goal as Iñigo Ruíz De Galarreta worked Yoel from a free-kick.
Costa was next to try his luck a minute later, although Los Armeros’ goalkeeper tipped wide his drive with a good save.
We then headed into the break level despite an encouraging period towards the end of the first half.
That form continued after the restart as having won a corner courtesy of Maffeo’s saved attempt, Rodríguez managed to direct Ruíz De Galarreta’s whipped cross past Yoel to hand us the lead in the 52nd minute.
Academy star Javi Llabrés would come the closest to doubling our advantage in the 75th minute, but his strike went the wrong side of the post.
We never looked like forfeiting our lead as the scoreline remained the same come full time. The result meant we ended our pre-season training camp with a hat-trick of victories following wins against FC Cartagena (1-0), UD Ibiza (2-1) y SD Eibar (1-0).
