Raíllo, Battaglia and Rajkovic reflect on our 1-1 draw with Girona FC
The trio spoke to the club media after the points were shared at the Visit Mallorca Estadi
Antonio Raíllo, Rodrigo Battaglia and Predrag Rajkovic shared their thoughts after our 1-1 draw with Girona FC at the Visit Mallorca Estadi. Raíllo’s late goal was cancelled out by a last-minute penalty from Samu Saiz as our search for a first home win of the season continues. Find out what the trio had to say below:
Raíllo
"It's a shame to concede so quickly. I think we have been naïve. If we generate so many penalties in four matchdays it means that we are not doing something right and it is something to improve.
"I'm always happy if the team wins. I don't look at personal performance. A goal doesn't make me happier. In the end what makes me happy is to be able to take the three points home, which today, due to bad luck, it wasn't possible."
Battaglia
"The team competed well. In general terms, we were better than them. But, well, it got away from us at the end due to a defensive mismatch. It's a pity that we couldn't take the three points at home with our people, but well, we have to keep working, there's a lot left, and this team is going to fight until the end."
Rajkovic
"It's frustrating that the penalty goal came in the last minutes, but this is football and it's a difficult moment. This team will continue to fight and we are already focused on preparing for the next game, there is still a lot of the league to play still.”
