Antonio Raíllo, Jose Copete and Ángel Rodríguez spoke to club media after our 1-0 defeat to Sevilla. Nemanja Gudelj’s second-half strike was the difference on an evening which saw us fall to a 1-0 defeat against Sevilla FC despite a late chance for Ángel Rodríguez. Find out what the trio had to say below:
Raíllo:
"I think we all think the same. In the end, we played Sevilla down completely. They had only one shot on goal in 90 minutes and that was from 35-40 meters. They scored a great goal, we have to applaud them. In the end, it was the opponent who had the success but I think the team was very good defensively. In the end you didn't concede anything, so to speak, just one shot from 40 meters. It's the only concession you make, and as luck would have it, it's the only one that goes against you.
"The way we're playing, that we are giving our best in every game, in the end the points will come."
Copete:
"We are sad because logically we never want to lose. The team has competed well and what we have lacked is forcefulness in the areas. In this case, we missed chances because we had them. We created them against a great club like Sevilla. We didn't get them right. I think they've had one shot between the posts and they've scored. That’s the elite level and that' football. We have to keep going.”
Ángel Rodríguez:
"It was a great play by Amath who saw me get into the box. It's true that when I shot, he was on top of me and the ball went out a little bit and the defender had a lot of time to clear it. I think the important thing for me is to have chances to score and continue to get into a rhythm, taking into account the pain I've been carrying since the beginning of the season.
"It was a shame not to score today, not to get something positive out of here because I think the team had a great game."
