RCD Mallorca B are champions!
Our youth side have been promoted to the Segunda RFEF having been crowned champions of the Tercera RFEF with four games in hand courtesy of a 3-0 win against CD Manacor.
Pep Gayà , Ibra Diabaté and an own goal were the difference on the afternoon as packed Ciutat Esportiva Antonio Asensio watched our youngsters extend their unbeaten run to 32 games.
Gayá got the ball rolling in the 12th minute when he connected with Javier Albín’s cross from the right flank which saw us later head into the break with a slender advantage.
Javi Llabrés played Elías Chentouf in behind the visitors’ defence just after the hour mark, and with the forward through on goal, Joan Roig was unlucky to put the ball into his own net.
Diabaté completed the scoring 10 minutes later with his 22nd goal of the season when he won the ball back and fired home.
The win saw Julián Robles’ side achieve promotion having fallen at the final hurdle in the play-offs for the previous three seasons.
