RCD Mallorca B’s unbeaten runs ends with 1-0 loss to Felantix
Julià Maimó's second-half strike inflicts Julián Robles’ side’s first defeat of the season
RCD Mallorca B suffered their first loss of the season after 16 games unbeaten with a 1-0 defeat at Felantix.
Following a break in the footballing calendar for the young side, Julián Robles made just one change to his side as Enric Martinez replaced Jaime De Las Marinas Gil for the youngsters’ first game in two weeks.
Despite our domination from the offset and continued peppering of the hosts’ goal, shot-stopper Aarón Gómez’s had to be at his best to keep the scores level come the break.
Against the run of play 10 minutes after restart, Juliá Maimó scored what would ultimately be the decisive goal of the game.
Gómez continued to thwart our attacks as we piled on the pressure in search of an equaliser, and although we were aided by numerical advantage following Xavier Bordoy’s second bookable offence in the 88th minute, we were unable to make the difference count.
