Salva Sevilla and Álvaro Giménez analyse beating FC Cartagena 2-1
The pair spoke to the media following our victory at the Visit Mallorca Estadi
Salva Sevilla and Álvaro Giménez were on media duties after our 2-1 victory over FC Cartagena at the Visit Mallorca Estadi. The latter and Amath Ndiaye were on target to secure an important three points. Find out what they had to say below:
On today's victory...
Álvaro Giménez: "I'm happy. It wasn't an easy game today. The game was complicated, but we kept doing what we know how to do. I'm very happy for the win and the three points.”
Salva Sevilla: "We are very happy. Every game is going to be very difficult. It's complicated to get three points and now we have to enjoy ourselves a bit and then think about Sporting. When things are going well, you have to keep the momentum going. Focus on ourselves and keep going.”
On the goals and what's to come...
Álvaro Giménez: "I knew I had to shoot well. I hope to score more goals in this shirt. Salva is the veteran and he knows how to get the teammates to be good. He has given me confidence. We must continue at our own pace. The team is playing well and winning. We have to think about ourselves.”
Salva Sevilla: "They closed in a lot. There wasn't much space. The pass was good and Amath finished very well. Álvaro told me he was confident about the penalty and I let him take it. It doesn't matter who takes it, the important thing was to score and get the three points - it doesn't matter which team you play against. Everyone has something at stake and the games are defined by details and we have to take care of them to stay the same.”
