Amath, Valjent and Antonio Sanchez analyse the win against Celta Vigo

Our trio reflected on our 1-0 win at the Estadio Abanca Balaídos

Amath, Martin Valjent and Antonio Sánchez were on post-match media duties after our 1-0 win against Celta Vigo. Amath scored the only goal of the game in the 21st minute. Find out what the trio had to say below:

Amath Ndiaye

"It's a great day for the whole team. We have all worked together and we deserve it. I'm also happy to be able to score today, as it wasn't possible the other day. I am very happy to be able to go home with the three points.

"We still need more to get away from there as soon as possible. We will keep working. We have to think about the next game at home against Getafe.”

Martin Valjent

"Winning and not conceding in a stadium like this is not easy at all and I think the team made a great effort and deserved these three important points.

"The key is to keep a clean sheet. This is what the coach has been asking of us since the beginning and since he has been with us. Now we can enjoy days like this, but we have to continue because there are nine important and difficult games left. We must not lose focus or relax. Today was an excellent game from everyone, from the first to the last minute.

"Looking at the teams that are down there, we know this is going to be tough until the end. This has been a great step, but this does not end, it does not stop. We have to keep going and on Sunday at home we have another very difficult match."

Antonio Sánchez

"I knew it was going to be complicated. I'm happy because with the help of my teammates, in a position that is different for me, but it worked out well.

"I hadn't been a starter for some time. I'm happy when I go out on the field and I'm happy with the result. I'm proud of my teammates.”
