Dani Rodríguez, Martin Valjent, Siebe Van der Heyden and Jagoba Arrasate analysed our 2-0 defeat to Celta Vigo. Find out what our boss and the players had to say below:
Dani Rodríguez
On the match: We are sad to leave like this. We wanted to play a good game after Tuesday. I think the team was good in the first half. It was very unfair to lose the first half. We had two chances and two very good saves from them.
On the red card: I didn't see it. That's modern football. From a clear foul on the edge of the box in our favour to our sending off. It's unbelievable. Now we have to analyse what we have done wrong in these two games and continue to have the same enthusiasm and desire as before.
On three games in seven days: I think the team is like an animal. We've run a lot, I don't see anyone tired. In the end the coach rotates a lot. We are a team in which many players play minutes. These are results. We've come from two very good victories and now we have two defeats. Analysing the match, I think we did some things wrong but I think the team was good.
Jagoba Arrasate
On the match: Well, we're disappointed. We were looking forward to this game and in the first half that goal from Hugo Álvarez tipped the balance. After that it was a case of want and can't. We lacked continuity in our play. We lacked continuity in the game, they defended well and we were down to ten men.
On the sending off: Looking at the action, it does hit Raíllo in the hand. Even so, even if he does hit him on the hand, it doesn't seem to me to be an obvious goal scoring opportunity. For me it should be a yellow card.
On a back five: Defensively we have done a bit of a mirror image. The position of Siebe and Javi gave us the option of being able to adjust. Apart from the goal, I think we defended well in the first half.
On rotations: We added two more players to the cause this season with Siebe and Javi. Changes are common in this team. We made eight today but I don't think it was noticeable in the first half.
On three games in a week: This midweek matchday has gone badly. Let's see if we are able to recover and from Monday with bright eyes waiting for that game at home against Girona.
Martin Valjent:
On the game: We are obviously bad. In the first half I think we did some good things. Then the game changed when we conceded a great goal. In the second half we started well but the sending off made it very difficult for us and it was hard for us to come back. The effort was great, but we weren't rewarded. We have to go all out against Girona at home next week.
On a lack of goals: It's a game of accuracy, as the coach always says. Today we weren't as accurate as on other days on a pitch that isn't easy at all. We lost the game because of details inside the box.
On rotations: The good thing about this team is that whoever they play, they are recognisable and have their own face. Today we didn't get the result but we always give 100%. The guys who made their debuts did a great job and contributed a lot. That's the line to follow. And now it's all about concentration and focus for next Saturday.
Siebe Van der Heyden:
On the game: You can't feel good when you lose a game. Still, I think we deserved more in the first half, we had more chances than they did. In this kind of game you have to finish your chances and that's what we lacked today.
On his feelings: For me today it was important to feel comfortable and that's what happened. I feel good, I was confident and I tried to help the team as best I could. I think I did my job but I can't be happy when you lose.
On positions: It wasn't easy to combine playing with a three-man defence in attack and a five-man defence in defence when dropping off. We talked a lot and did a good job defensively. Offensively it could have been better but defensively we were good.
On three games in one week: We needed to rest, we were a bit tired and that's normal. Now we have to concentrate on the next game, we have a whole week to rest and prepare as well as possible to get the three points.
