Javier Aguirre has insisted our standards cannot drop after we secured LaLiga football for another season ahead of our clash with Valencia CF.
Having fallen to a frustrating defeat at UD Almería, the boss wants to see his side bounce back on Thursday evening with a strong performance in front of the home crowd.
"Valencia will come as they have to come,” he told journalists at his pre-match press conference. “They've already beaten Real Madrid playing with a lot of heart and soul. They have all their players healthy. They have a very vertical attacking game.
“We will try to give a good image in front of our people, on our pitch. We'll try to make up for the last image that the people of Almería have of us."
Augustinsson, Antonio Raíllo, Nastasic and Iñigo Ruiz de Galarreta will miss the remainder of the eason due to injuries, while Jaume Costa, Morlanes and Gio González face a race against time to get fit.
