We have been drawn against Segunda Division side CD Tenerife in round of 16 of the Copa del Rey and will take place on a date to be decided between January 16 and 18 at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium.
The last team we faced each other in this competition was back in 2000-2001 where we won 4-0 on aggregate.
Javier Aguirre's side will go into this round without having conceded a single goal having eliminated CD Boiro (0-4), CD Valle de Egüés (0-3) and Burgos CF (0-3).
For their part, the Tenerife side, with ex-Mallorquinistas Ángel Rodríguez and Tomeu Nadal in their ranks, booked their place in last 16 after beating SD Compostela (0-1), RC Deportivo de la Coruña (2-3) and UD Las Palmas (2-0).
