Samu Costa, Jaume Costa and Javier Aguirre evaluate the goalless draw with UD Almería
Find out what the trio had to say about the draw
Samu Costa, Jaume Costa and Javier Aguirre refelcted on our goalless stalemate with UD Almeria. Find out what the two stars and our boss had to say below:
Samu Costa
"We deserved to win this match, we dominated almost the entire match. In the second half we decided to drop off a bit more and go on the counter. We created more danger than them and we have to keep working.”
"Our team is comfortable in many facets of the game. Defensively we know that it's very difficult to score against us. I don't remember any chances they have had."
"It's difficult not to control yourself when you miss a chance but we have to be together with those who missed and we have to continue to try to improve and always be a hard-working team."
Javier Aguirre
"I think we've been going for it since Atlético de Madrid, playing very good football. Cyle scored very early with a rare play, with a shot to the corner of the net. This is about scoring and we were unlucky.”
"Javi is a great professional. I've seen him score goals in training sessions much more complicated than this one. He's a top player. There's nothing to reproach anyone for."
"The first half was good for us and in the second they equalised. At the end of the day, I don't know if the draw is fair, because I think about the chances.”
Jaume Costa
"I felt a cramp. I don't know what it is, tomorrow I'll have tests with the doctor and hopefully it will be as little as possible and I'll be able to help the team on Thursday.”
"The point gives us very little. I think we had the game to kill it in the first half. We had four or five very clear chances to score. We didn't do it and in the second half we talked about not letting them get into it.”
"We have improved in two very important things: a clean sheet and creating chances. Last year we were a team that had two and scored one. This year we are having more chances than usual, but it's no use if you don't score them."
