Chiquinho: "My Objective Is To Give The Team Everything That I Can"
Our latest signing joined his new team-mates for the first time this week
Francisco Jorge Tavares Oliveira, better known as ‘Chiquinho’, has met his new teammates this Tuesday and trained for the first time following his signing at the Ciutat Esportiva Antonio Asensio.
The winger was one of our final signings of a busy transfer window having joined on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers for the season and although it is early days on the island, Chiquinho can't wait to help the side.
On his feelings: ‘It's a great pleasure to be here at Mallorca. It is a very big club here in Spain. We have the same objectives.
On what he hopes to achieve: ‘My personal objective is to give the team as much as I can. I am a very collective player, despite having my individual moments on the pitch. My main objective is to help the team to continue at a high level and to grow more.
On the Spanish league: ‘Yes, it's a league I've always had a lot of ambition to play in. When I was a kid I used to watch the great players who played in the Spanish league. I am very happy to be here and play in this league.
On the type of player he is: ‘I define myself as a player who likes a lot of one on one, fast, who likes to score goals, give assists, who leaves his life on the pitch... I think these are the main factors that characterise me’.
