Javier Aguirre: I hope we can enjoy it and give our fans some joy
The boss looked ahead to our final game of the season against Rayo Vallecano
Javier Aguirre wants to see his side end the season on a high note as we host Rayo Vallecano on Sunday evening.
With LaLiga football secured for another season, the boss believes his side must not take their foot off the gas in order to end the campaign in the best way possible.
"Hopefully tomorrow will be a good party, and we can enjoy and give joy to our people,” Aguirre said. “There are many elements, including being emotional... it will be the last time this dressing room together. It could be a great match. There are many incentives [to do well.”
With many players expecting to make their way back from the physio room, Aguirre provided an update on those who will be available this weekend.
"I was very happy because we had a clean bill of health, but yesterday Grenier went down. It seems to be a muscular issue and he won't be able to play, but the others will come as they come. Raíllo, Galarreta, Morlanes, Augustinsson and Gio - they are not at one hundred percent, but it is a good gesture on their part to put themselves at the coach's orders to close the season with their people and hopefully have a good game and a good day.”
